How Points work, buying a plan, installing your eSIM and managing your account.

Points & balance

Points are your WanderSIM balance: 1 Point = €1 — that is £0.87 when you pay in British pounds, at our current exchange rate. Every plan is priced in Points. You add Points from your account, pay for them by Visa or Mastercard, and spend them on eSIM plans.

Go to Balance in your account and choose 30, 60 or 90 Points — or enter your own amount, like 25 or 25.50. Amounts are rounded to two decimals, and anything under 1 becomes 1 Point. Then continue to checkout and pay by Visa or Mastercard. Your balance updates once payment is complete.

You pay for Points by Visa or Mastercard, in euros or British pounds — choose the currency in the header. 1 Point = €1. If you pay in pounds, the euro value is converted at the current exchange rate, and the exact amount in £ is shown at checkout before you pay. Plan prices always stay in Points, whichever currency you pick.

No. Points are for buying eSIM plans on WanderSIM and can’t be withdrawn or cashed out. The Terms of Service explain how your balance works.

Yes. You can ask us for your unspent Points back at any time, and we return them to the card you paid with, up to the amount you paid. Within 14 days of adding Points you can also withdraw from the Top-Up. Full details are in our Refund Policy.

Buying a plan

Your phone needs to support eSIM. Check the compatible devices list, including the exceptions for your brand, before you buy.

Each plan you buy includes 1 eSIM. You can add different plans — another destination or a bigger plan — to the same cart and pay for them together with Points.

No. eSIM plans can share a cart, but a Points top-up is checked out on its own. Add Points first, then come back and buy your plans.

Validity rules depend on the plan. Check the plan details before you buy; the Terms of Service describe ordering, activation and validity.

Installing your eSIM

Under eSIMs in your account. Open the order to see a QR code to scan, plus a manual code if you’d rather enter the details yourself. Only you can see them when you’re signed in.

On iPhone, open the Camera app, point it at the QR code and follow the prompt. On Android, go to Settings > Connections > SIM Card Manager > Add eSIM. Menu names can differ by device.

Yes. Use “Save QR image” on your eSIMs page to keep a copy on your device, for example to scan it from a second screen. Keep it private.

Check that data roaming is on for the eSIM line and that your device is on the compatible list. If it still doesn’t connect, contact us with your order number. The Terms of Service cover refunds, replacements and troubleshooting.

Your account

In Order history. It lists your eSIM purchases and Points top-ups with their status, and you can open each order for details.

Use Reset password and enter your email address or username to start a reset.

Go to Account in My account to update your contact details, billing address or password. You can delete your account from the same page; it can’t be undone, and any Points left in your balance can’t be used afterwards.
